Pharmaceutical sodium chloride is made by dissolving, purifying and recrystallising salt in GMP facilities. Our washed solar salt, at 98.7–99.4 % NaCl, is raw material for that process: we supply refiners and vacuum-salt producers who make pharmacopoeia grades. We do not sell USP, EP or BP sodium chloride. If you buy the finished grade, send your specification and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot supply.

Can I buy pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride from you?
No. Pharmacopoeia grades need GMP refining and documentation that a solar salt works does not provide. We supply the refiners who make those grades.
Is solar salt used to make pharmaceutical salt?
Yes. Refiners dissolve raw salt, purify the brine and recrystallise it; raw solar salt is a common starting material.
What do refiners need from you?
Lot analyses, a representative sample, consistent quality between cargoes and independent inspection at the load port.
